In 1972 a film version was released of the show proving highly popular. This first film, also called - Steptoe and Son (first film) - featuring a young Mike Reid and focusing on Harold getting married but still not being able to get away from his father.
Due to popular demand another film, Steptoe and Son Ride Again (second film) - was released in 1973 which was also highly popular with fans. 2 Great films Laughing
